Sharon Palmer – Clinic Director
Sharon Palmer, M.S. CCC-SLP earned her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2002 from University of the Pacific, in Stockton, CA. She currently serves clients ranging in age from 2 years to 22 years with a variety of communication disorders and medical diagnoses and works as both an SLP and the clinical director for STA. Sharon has extensive experience working with clients with Autism, articulation/phonological disorders, apraxia of speech, pragmatic/social language deficits, receptive/expressive language delays/disorders, and non-verbal individuals who use PECS/AAC. Sharon holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language Association and is licensed by the state of California. She lives in Woodbridge with her husband and two children.
JAMIE AMARO - Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant
Jamie is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant who completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Disorders at Chico State University. She earned her license to become a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant from San Joaquin Delta College.
Jamie is a dedicated Assistant who enjoys working with children. She takes pride in her work and continues to strive to make a difference in her students. She loves helping children become successful communicators and to achieve their personal and academic goals. She is skilled at providing therapy for various speech and language disorders including, articulation, phonology, receptive and expressive language, social and pragmatic language and fluency disorders. She has worked in preschool, and in home and school settings. She has worked with clients ranging in ages from preschool through middle school. She has had additional training in Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS).
Jamie is married and has two children. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends and traveling.
MEGAN CLAYTON - Speech-Language Pathologist
Megan is originally from Lake Forest, California and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders from Biola University. She continued her education at Nova Southeastern University, earning her Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
She has had the opportunity to serve clients ranging in age from 2 to 18 years old with a variety of communication disorders, including articulation/phonological disorders, receptive and expressive language disorders, fluency disorders, motor speech disorders, language-learning disabilities, and pragmatic/social language deficits. She currently works with clients in group and individual sessions in the preschool and elementary school settings as well as in the clinic-based setting.
Megan lives in Lodi with her husband and two daughters and enjoys traveling, boating, and hanging out with family and friends.
JESSICA ELROD - Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant / Office Manager
Jessica Elrod is a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant who has previously worked with students in the school setting and currently works with clients in our Lodi clinic. She currently works with clients ranging in age from 3-18 with a variety of communication disorders and medical diagnoses. In addition to working as an SLPA, Jessica also works as our office manager. Jessica received an Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from San Joaquin Delta College and a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development from California State University, Chico. She is currently licensed by the state of California. Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband and four children.
BAILEY FREITAS - Speech-Language Pathologist
Bailey graduated from The University of the Pacific with a Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She was a paraeducator and preschool teacher before becoming a SLP. For the past years, Bailey has worked as a Speech-Language Pathologist with adults and children at home, in schools, and within medical settings. Bailey holds a certificate of Clinical Competence from the Association of Speech-Language Hearing Board. She is trained with Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS). She greatly enjoys working with children with mild to severe special needs and enjoys challenging behaviors. Bailey enjoys working closely with each family to develop individualized therapy that is both natural and engaging.
JULIE GREEN - Speech-Language Pathologist
Julie Green M.S. CCC-SLP, received her bachelor’s degree in Communication and Sciences from Southern Illinois University in 2008 and received her Master’s Degree from Northern Arizona University in Communication and Sciences Disorders in 2016. Julie has worked with clients ranging from birth to adults. Experienced with the school system, hospital, and clinical settings. Over the course of her career, she has enjoyed working with children diagnosed with receptive and expressive language disorders, apraxia of speech, fluency disorders, auditory processing disorders, articulation/phonological disorders, feeding disorders, and augmentative and alternative communication. Julie excelled in providing therapy for adult clients who have had strokes, apraxia, and dysphagia. Julie lives in the Sierra Nevada foothills of California where she enjoys hiking and traveling.
WARDA IBRAHIM - Office Assistant
Warda Ibrahim recently joined STA at an office assistant at the Lodi office. She enjoys spending time with her family and loves to travel.
JUANITA JENKINS - Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant
Juanita received her Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license in 2005 and has worked for Speech Therapy Associates since 2006. She has experience working with clients ranging in age from 30 months to 25 years old. Juanita works in the school and private clinic-based setting. In both settings, she works in treating pragmatic/social language deficits, receptive and expressive language delays, auditory processing disorders, fluency disorders, and articulation/phonological delays. Juanita understands first hand and empathizes with parents who have concerns regarding their child’s speech and language development. She also shares excitement in the growth her clients make.
SOPHANY KHUTH - Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant
Sophany Khuth, SLPA has a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology & Audiology from CSU Sacramento. With over 7 years of experience as an SPLA, she enjoys working with her students and seeing the positive impact she makes in their lives. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and traveling with her husband and spending time with their new puppy Charlie.
MICHELLE STEVAHN - Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant
Michelle Stevahn graduated from Biola University in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She is a certified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant and has 3 years of experience working with elementary children. Michelle and her husband enjoy taking trips to the beach with their one-year-old daughter and have recently moved into a new house in the Lodi area.
ANNA VAN EGMOND - Speech-Language Pathologist
Anna Van Egmond, M.S., CCC-SLP earned her Master’s Degree from California State University, Sacramento in 2012 and has been working for Speech Therapy Associates for the past 7 years. Presently she works at Jackson Elementary School in Amador County with students ranging from preschool through fifth grade. She is married to her wonderful husband, Greg, and they have a two-year-old little boy named Levi.
JACKIE VASQUEZ - Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
I graduated from San Joaquin Delta College in June 2019 with my AS degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting as well as an AA degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. I have close to eight years of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) experience across multiple settings including home and school sites. It was within that time that I further developed my skills as well as my passion for working with special needs students. Children with Autism hold a special place in my heart. In my spare time, I love traveling and hiking with my husband and our pitbull, Zoey.
WENDY WOLD - Speech-Language Pathologist
Wendy Wold graduated with a Master’s of Arts degree in Communicative Disorders from California State University, Fresno. She currently works in schools and in the private office. In private practice, Wendy works with teenage social skills groups and adult clients. In her free time, Wendy enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends, playing with her dog, and volunteering for the American Cancer Society.
