MEET OUR STAFF

Speech Therapy Associates offers high-quality individualized assessment & therapy along with parent and family education and involvement. We are a team of professionals helping children and adults communicate to their fullest potential.

 

Marisa Godi

Marisa Godi, co-owner of Speech Therapy Associates earned her bachelor’s degree in communicative disorders from The University of the Pacific before completing her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2001. 
Marisa is licensed through the state of California as well as holds her certificate of clinical competency through The American Speech and Hearing Association. Over the course of her career, Marisa has treated individuals with communicative disorders with her area of interest in fluency disorders. Outside of her career as a speech-language pathologist, Marisa enjoys spending time with her family and resides in Lodi, California. 

sara peterson

Sara Peterson has co-owned Speech Therapy Associates since it was opened in 2004. She received her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Sacramento State University in 1999, is licensed in California and has her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association. She has been a Speech Language Pathologist for over 20 years and enjoys the variety of working with both children and adults in private practice, in homes, and in school settings. Sara loves traveling and spending time outdoors with her husband and five children. 

Sara Rouse

Sara Rouse, MA CCC-SLP earned Bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley and obtained a Master’s degree in Communicative Disorders from University of the Pacific.
Sara was a founding partner in Speech Therapy Associates, which was started in 2004.  For more than 20 years, Sara has worked primarily with young children who have communication delays. She loves working with young children and their families and is 
also certified by the Hanen Centre to teach parents how they can help their child develop language skills. 
Sara loves traveling and cycling, and has often combined these two passions on trips in amazing places! She also enjoys yoga and spending time with her family.

Sharon Palmer – Clinic Director

Sharon PalmerSharon Palmer, M.S. CCC-SLP earned her Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2002 from University of the Pacific. She serves clients ranging in age from 2 years to 22 years and has a strong clinical background working with Autism, articulation/phonological disorders, apraxia of speech, social skills, language delays/disorders, and AAC. Sharon holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association and is licensed by the state of California. Sharon utilizes child-led therapy, targeting goals through naturally motivating activities that allow children to make choices, direct the session, and experience engagement and empowerment. She lives in Woodbridge with her husband and two children, teaches a weekly children’s class and co-leads a monthly children’s group at her church, volunteers at her children’s schools, and appreciates nature, hammocks, reading, a good English breakfast tea, and the beach!

JAMIE AMARO - Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant

Jamie is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant who completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Disorders at Chico State University.   She earned her license to become a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant from San Joaquin Delta College.

Jamie is a dedicated Assistant who enjoys working with children. She takes pride in her work and continues to strive to make a difference in her students. She loves helping children become successful communicators and to achieve their personal and academic goals. She is skilled at providing therapy for various speech and language disorders including, articulation, phonology, receptive and expressive language, social and pragmatic language and fluency disorders. She has worked in preschool, and in home and school settings. She has worked with clients ranging in ages from preschool through middle school. She has had additional training in Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS).

Jamie is married and has two children. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends and traveling.

MEGAN CLAYTON - Speech-Language Pathologist

megan claytonMegan is originally from Lake Forest, California and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders from Biola University. She continued her education at Nova Southeastern University, earning her Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

She has had the opportunity to serve clients ranging in age from 2 to 18 years old with a variety of communication disorders, including articulation/phonological disorders, receptive and expressive language disorders, fluency disorders, motor speech disorders, language-learning disabilities, and pragmatic/social language deficits. She currently works with clients in group and individual sessions in the preschool and elementary school settings as well as in the clinic-based setting.

Megan lives in Lodi with her husband and three kids and enjoys traveling, boating, and hanging out with family and friends.

ANNA VAN EGMOND - Speech-Language Pathologist

Anna VanEgmondAnna Van Egmond, M.S., CCC-SLP earned her Master’s Degree from California State University, Sacramento in 2012 and has been working for Speech Therapy Associates since completing her degree. Presently she works in Amador County with students ranging from preschool through sixth grade. She is married to her wonderful husband, Greg, and they have three boys.

JESSICA ELROD - Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant

Jessica Elrod is a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant who has previously worked with students in the school setting and currently works with clients in our Lodi clinic. She currently works with clients ranging in age from 3-18 with a variety of communication disorders and medical diagnoses. In addition to working as an SLPA, Jessica also works as our office manager. Jessica received an Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from San Joaquin Delta College and a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development from California State University, Chico. She is currently licensed by the state of California. Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband and four children.

MADELINE FRANKE- Speech-Language Pathologist, Clinical Fellow

Maddie Franke

Maddie received both her Bachelor and Master of Science degrees from University of the Pacific. She currently works full-time in the Lodi clinic and has experience serving both pediatric and adult clients in the schools and private clinics.

She utilizes child-led therapy with her younger clients and places utmost importance on parent education and learning through play. Maddie believes therapy should be functional, attainable, and enjoyable for her clients and their families regardless of age and accomplishes this by building strong relationships and truly listening to the needs and desires of the people she works with.

 

BAILEY FREITAS - Speech-Language Pathologist

Bailey graduated from The University of the Pacific with a Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She was a paraeducator and preschool teacher before becoming a SLP. For the past years, Bailey has worked as a Speech-Language Pathologist with adults and children at home, in schools, and within medical settings. Bailey holds a certificate of Clinical Competence from the Association of Speech-Language Hearing Board. She is trained with Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS). She greatly enjoys working with children with mild to severe special needs and enjoys challenging behaviors. Bailey enjoys working closely with each family to develop individualized therapy that is both natural and engaging.

JACKIE GONZALEZ - Speech-Language Pathology Assistant

Jackie-VasquezJackie Gonzalez graduated from San Joaquin Delta College in June 2019 with an AS degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting as well as an AA degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. She has over 8 years of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) experience across multiple settings and has earned her RBT certification. It was within that time that Jackie further developed her skills as well as her passion for working with special needs students. She has worked for Speech Therapy Associates since 2019 and is currently working with students ages 5-15 with a variety of speech and language needs. She finds so much satisfaction in her work and she truly enjoys seeing her students progress and learn. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, beach trips, and traveling with her husband.

WARDA IBRAHIM - Office Manager

Warda Ibrahim recently joined STA at an office assistant at the Lodi office. She enjoys spending time with her family and loves to travel.

SOPHANY KHUTH - Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant

Sophany Khuth, SLPA has a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology & Audiology from CSU Sacramento. With over 7 years of experience as an SPLA, she enjoys working with her students and seeing the positive impact she makes in their lives. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and traveling with her husband and spending time with their new puppy Charlie.

MICHELLE STEVAHN - Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant

Michelle-StevahnMichelle Stevahn graduated from Biola University in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She is a certified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant and has 3 years of experience working with elementary children. Michelle and her husband enjoy taking trips to the beach with their one-year-old daughter and have recently moved into a new house in the Lodi area.

ADRIANNA VENTURA - Speech-Language Pathologist

Adrianna Ventura

Adrianna received her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of the Pacific in 2017. Then, she worked as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant at a school for children with special needs for three years. She continued her education at Emerson College, earning her Master of Science degree in Communication Disorders in 2021.

She currently works with clients ranging in age from 2 to 27 years old with a variety of communication and medical diagnoses. Adrianna has experience working with clients with Autism, articulation/phonological disorders, apraxia of speech, fluency disorders, pragmatic/social language deficits, receptive/expressive language delays/disorders, and non-verbal individuals who use AAC. Adrianna currently serves clients in the private office in individual and group sessions. In her free time, Adrianna enjoys spending time with her husband, pets, and playing adult softball.

 

WENDY WOLD - Speech-Language Pathologist

Wendy WoldWendy Wold obtained her Bachelor’s degree from California State University, Fresno where she graduated summa cum laude before earning her Master’s degree in Communicative disorders in 2009, also from CSU Fresno.

In her 12 years of experience as a speech language pathologist, Wendy has developed excellent case management, assessment, and treatment skills, all of which are paramount to successfully working with children in grades pre-kindergarten through 12th.

Outside of work, Wendy and her husband enjoy raising their twin daughters together. She is actively involved in supporting NICU non-profit organizations and volunteering in her church nursery. Wendy has a helping heart and enjoys seeing people succeed.
